Implementing fitness in your life, probably makes you 𝐬𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐝. You don’t know if you can be consistent. You’re not sure if you can prepare your meals everyday. You don’t really know how to deal with calories. You have a hectic job, and you have friends that always ask you to hang out.
–
Well, I have that kind of lifestyle. Hectic. Sometimes my lifestyle gets too crazy, that mismanaging my social life and work life is a normal thing for me.

–
That’s my point. I’ve been interested in fitness even before my military days in Singapore, around 7 years back. That was during my high school days, where working out was easy, since managing my high school time table wasn’t that hard.

𝘽𝙪𝙩 𝙄 𝙜𝙤𝙩 𝙛𝙖𝙩, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙄 𝙙𝙞𝙙𝙣’𝙩 𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙮 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙜𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝙢𝙪𝙘𝙝. I was lifting same weight almost every day and I didn’t look like I lifted at all. Then I had to enter military and that’s when my life changed.
–
I realized that even with working out, my fitness level was still extremely poor. We had to do a fitness test and I barely passed. 𝟔𝟐 𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝟏𝟎𝟎 (𝐩𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐤 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝟔𝟏).

I saw my commanders with 𝗮𝗺𝗮𝘇𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗯𝗼𝗱𝗶𝗲𝘀, 𝗲𝘅𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝗳𝗶𝘁, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗺𝗮 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲. That’s where I grew inspired to delve deeper in fitness and nutrition.

I learnt a lot, experienced different styles of training and nutrition. I tried preparing meals everyday for a while, I tried training like a bodybuilder, a powerlifter-and even tried bodyweight-only exercises and prioritized running.

I realized that I had to change my approach to fitness altogether. That’s how I started the #inikahlifestyle.

With #inikahlifestyle, we would know 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹, 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗳𝗶𝘁𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗻𝘂𝘁𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝗹𝗹) 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗜’𝘃𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗺𝘆 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲, to achieve social-work-fitness life balance. Given my already hectic schedules, I’m still able to maintain, if not grow my physique into levels I haven’t reached before, effortlessly. Eating all kinds of foods, training minimally with the #inikahlifestyle approach got me to where I am.

It saddens me to see how messed up the fitness industry is now. Unnatural athletes selling products and portraying unrealistic goals to people. I never even use Whey Protein and other supplements. 𝐈 𝐞𝐚𝐭 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥 𝐟𝐨𝐨𝐝. 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐥, 𝐠𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐨𝐝. Not those broccoli and plain breast meat nonsense.
–
This drives me to change people one by one. I’m inspired to impart all my knowledge to people who are not interested in bullshit and crappy coaching. I’m inspired to see people implement fitness and nutrition effortlessly with #inikahlifestyle. I swear, this method can be used for life (yes, even until you’re grey and old). It’s amazing.

Protected: #15. Why does our weight fluctuate even when I’m “consistent”?
#14. Why is weight loss different for different people?
Weight loss can be different for different people due to a number of reasons.
Metabolic Efficiency.
This might sound like a fancy, over-the-top word, but trust me, it’s actually not. People that have low metabolic efficiency, don’t know that they have it.
“What the heck is this?”
It’s simply how much your metabolism burns for energy every day. Your TDEE (Total Daily Energy Expenditure) varies from person to person due to a several amount of factors. If your days are low-activity, and your calorie deficit is too much or too little, than that might just be the cause for your slow/high fat loss.
Someone with a height of 165cm, and the body weight of 60kg, will not lose the same amount of fat at the same time if their TDEE levels are different. This is assuming their calorie deficit levels are the same; say 1600 calories for an example. Person A has a TDEE level of 2000 calories and Person B has a TDEE level of 2200. It’s no surprise that through a consistent period of time, Person B will be losing more fat (contributing to weight) in the long run.
What you want is to include moderately high-intensity levels of activity (not too much, as it will slow down recovery levels at a deficit) and a correct amount of calorie deficit, with regard to your body measurements. Usually it’s no more than 500-600 calories under your maintenance calories, or your TDEE.
You probably should be doing more LISS cardio, and increasing the intensity of your workouts (not the volume, the intensity). And tracking well is also very important.
Another dead giveaway is tracking your calories poorly. This will need experience.

#12. Weight Loss Supplements? GET THE HELL AWAY.
Look back at the times when cavemen roamed the grounds of Mother Earth. They lived happy, and seemed like obesity was non-existent at that time.
Did they use “Weight Loss Supplements”?
Please. Do yourself a favor and stay the hell away from all those. Usually supplements that claim to be good for weight-loss, are mainly diuretic-they contain a high dose of caffeine, and they make us pee a lot, resulting in general water-weight loss. No “magic pill” is going to get your shredded in one month.
EVEN IF, there are supplements, FDA-tested, and backed by sufficient research on their claims to boost metabolism and ensure “targeted fat loss”, would you want your lives to depend on them?
Chances are, if you take them, and somehow, they work for you, trust me; it’s a bad investment.
Your body is a system. A very intelligent system. It knows when to transport energy to its working cells, it knows how to auto-regulate, and detoxify it’s own system. It is designed, and programmed to do that already from the moment you were born. If you consume those “supplements” directed for “weight-loss”, your body might adapt to it, and reduce it’s independence to optimize it’s own metabolism. Your body will depend heavily on those supplements, and you will lose your natural ability to burn fat well.
So shut up, and screw those supplements. They’re just very good at marketing, using professional athletes to endorse their products and shit like that.
Get your lazy ass up and start improving your own body’s ability to optimize metabolism. Your body is an amazing tool, so use it to it’s maximum potential. Eat well and right, train well and right.
Drop me an e-mail, or send me a DM on my Instagram page for effortless, sustainable dieting and training. Now THAT would be a good investment, since all the knowledge that you’d learn from me can be applied even if you start losing hair at 80. #knowledgeforalifetime

#10. Cardio before Training or Cardio After?
Don’t worry too much.
There’s nothing wrong with cardio before your training or after. Pick one that suits you and your method of training better.
If you’re still confused, let me help your think a little.
If your actual training is heavy, and hard-hitting-you probably need all the energy you can get during your session. So in cases like that, it’s probably better for you to employ your cardio session after your actual workout.
If your training is light-weight, easy to do, but very tiring (endurance-wise), then maybe doing cardio in the beginning can be beneficial for you, as it warms up your entire body, blood-circulation gets better overall.
Personally for me, I usually like to cardio on alternate days (rest days), as it boosts recovery and optimizes fat loss without messing up your gains. I like to do LISS (Low Intensity Steady State) cardio to supplement my workouts. On my training days, I train hard and heavy, so I get the most benefit for my muscle growth.
